Before you queue
You can press and hold the auto button to choose which skills the game will cast automatically.
A few skills come up constantly across these dungeons: - Tank: shield and taunt - DPS: interrupt when needed - Healer: barrier, cleanse, and holy heal
Do not go into these runs blind if you have no idea what the boss does. It wastes your time and everyone else’s, and people will not always be patient about it. Once you understand the mechanics, a few failed pulls at the start are completely normal. Communicate with your team and be willing to adjust.
Secret 1 — Plains: Shadow on the Ancient Ruins
Tank
Bring Shield, Taunt, Banner. Use Shield when the boss casts Charged Heavy Punch. Everything else can stay on auto.
DPS
Bring three damage skills and leave them on auto.
Healer
Bring three healing skills and run full auto.
Secret 2 — Forest: The Old King’s Ambition
Tank
Bring Taunt, Shield, Banner. Use Taunt when the boss casts Chicken Cart Crush. The rest can stay on auto.
DPS
One DPS should bring an interrupt. Interrupt Heavy Cannon Strike. Only one of the two DPS needs to carry it.
Healer
Bring one shield skill and two heals. Use the shield when the boss casts Ultimate Destruction Cannon.
Secret 3 — Desert: The Golden Ship of Three Treasures
Tank
Bring Taunt, Shield, Banner. When the boss casts Sea Beast Ancient Brew, use Shield and Taunt. Banner can stay on auto.
DPS
Bring one dispel. Use it on Sea Beast Ancient Brew. Everything else can stay on auto. Make sure to focus summoned adds.
Healer
Bring one barrier and two heals. Use the barrier on Golden Rain. After the barrier, it helps to follow immediately with healing to bring the party back up.
Secret 4 — Bay: Ocean Conquest Plan
Tank
Bring Taunt, Banner, Shield. Full auto is fine.
DPS
Bring one interrupt. Interrupt Tentacle Frenzy. The boss will summon two tentacles, so it is best if the two DPS split left and right and kill the tentacles first.
Healer
Bring one barrier and two heals. Use the barrier when the boss casts Deep Sea Pressure.
Important mechanic
Birds will drop cannonballs from the air. Tap the cannonball to load it, then tap the cannon to fire. Ideally, wait until the boss is staggered before shooting, because the damage is doubled then. Do not wait too long, though—the cannonball only remains available for a limited time.
Secret 5 — Deep Forest: Valley of Omen’s Descent
Tank
Bring Taunt, Shield, Banner. Use Shield + Taunt when the boss casts Corrupted Wood Smash. Use Banner whenever it is available.
DPS
Bring three damage skills and focus the summoned mobs. It is better for both DPS to burn down one add first, then the other, because the summons are tanky and splitting damage can leave both alive.
Healer
Bring Cleanse and Holy Heal. Use Cleanse on Infection. Use Holy Heal when the boss casts Violent Ground Smash.
Secret 6 — Icefield: Permafrost Restricted Mine
Tank
Bring Taunt, Shield, Banner. Use Shield on Charged Fierce Thrust. After the boss summons adds, use Banner and Taunt.
DPS
Bring three damage skills, but save them to burst down the adds.
Healer
Bring Cleanse and Barrier. After Splitting Blade Light, use Cleanse. When the summoned mob’s cast bar reaches around 70%, use Barrier.
What decides the clear
This fight mainly comes down to whether the team can instantly focus down the adds before they cast their second skill, and whether the healer’s output is strong enough to keep the party alive.
Secret 7 — Ymir Abyss
Tank
Bring Taunt, Banner, Shield. At the start, move to the right side by clicking the moon marker. Use Shield when the boss casts Claw Strike. Use Taunt and Banner whenever available.
DPS
Bring one interrupt and two damage skills. Interrupt Deadly Swing.
Healer
Bring one Cleanse and two heals. Use Cleanse after the boss uses Sweep.
Phase 2 mechanic
In phase two, the boss uses Ice Mountain Eruption. One random player among the healer and the two DPS will get a red circle marker above their head. That player needs to go right, to the moon marker, to help the tank share the damage. As soon as the soak is done, return immediately to the left side.
Secret 8 — Volcano: Steamfire Bathhouse
Tank
Bring Taunt, Banner, Shield. Use Shield on Abyssal Maw. Use Taunt on Lava Spit. Use Banner whenever it is ready.
DPS
Bring three damage skills. After the boss uses Devour, it will expose a weak point that counts like a summon. Archer and Assassin should save 1–2 skills for that weak point. Mage can stay on full auto and simply switch targets.
Healer
Bring Cleanse and Holy Heal. Use Cleanse on Abyssal Maw. Use Holy Heal on Lava Spit.
Important note
The small bugs the boss summons can be ignored. After Lava Spit, the tank should taunt them over, and the boss’s own attack will kill them.
Secret 9 — Heart of Aitela
This is one of the harder dungeons, and everyone needs to handle movement correctly.
Tank
Bring Taunt, Shield, Banner. At the start, move either left or right and do not stand in the same zone as the other three players. Use Shield when the boss casts Dark Gaze or Scorched Earth. When the boss casts Demon Sigil, avoid it by moving left and right, but do not run into the other three players. Keep Taunt and Banner on auto.
DPS
Go full damage. No interrupt is needed.
Healer
Bring Cleanse and Holy Heal. Use Cleanse on Black Tide Burst. As soon as the boss enters phase two and takes flight, use Holy Heal. Use Holy Heal again when the boss casts Apocalypse in phase two.
Mechanics to watch 1. When the boss uses True Flame, the whole team has to move. Follow the direction the boss is rotating and run clockwise or counterclockwise to match it. Getting hit even once hurts a lot. 2. During Scorched Earth, the tank can sidestep left and right to avoid part of the damage. Just do not cross into the other players’ space. 3. After Apocalypse in phase two, the boss enters an exhausted state and takes 4x damage. DPS should try to hold pet skills for this window because it is a major burst opportunity. 4. When the boss casts Dark Erosion, any player with the marker above their head must move to the matching indicator. 5. When there is no movement mechanic happening, the three non-tank players stack together, while the tank stays alone. After every movement mechanic, return to this 3-and-1 formation immediately. 6. This fight is demanding for the whole team, especially the tank and healer, and it also checks DPS output. Expect to need several tries.
Secret 10 — Highland: Deep in the Thunder-Scorched Wastes
Tank
Bring Taunt, Banner, Shield. Use Shield on Hawkhorn Thunderfall. Taunt and Banner can stay on auto.
DPS
Bring one dispel—preferably on the lower-damage DPS. Use it on Lightning Coil.
Healer
Bring Barrier, Regen, Group Heal. Use Barrier before the cast of Stormcloud Thunderburst finishes. Regen and Group Heal can stay on auto.
Movement tip
When the boss uses Thunderstorm Force or Magnetic Storm, the whole team must dodge. After moving, it is safest to return to the center, because sometimes the boss will target the left-middle or right-middle spaces; if you stay too far left or right, you may not make it in time.
Secret 11 — Arena of the Nine Kings
Tank
Bring Taunt, Banner, Shield. Use Shield on Star Hammer Smash. Banner and Taunt can stay on auto.
DPS
Bring one dispel. Use it on Beast King Frenzy. Save 1–2 damage skills for Shattering Hammer Strike unless your damage is already high enough that saving is unnecessary.
Healer
Bring Heal, Regen, Barrier. Use Barrier on Deadly Cage. If the DPS cannot break the shield during Shattering Hammer Strike, the healer can also use Barrier there.
Key mechanics 1. Storm Dance must be dodged by moving. 2. On Deadly Cage, the whole team needs to stack together inside the red area to share the damage, while the healer uses Barrier. 3. On Shattering Hammer Strike, everyone needs to enter the yellow highlighted zone, and the DPS must break the shield.
Secret 12 — Oasis: Rampage in the Valley
Tank
Bring Taunt, Banner, Shield. Full auto works.
DPS
One player should bring an interrupt. Interrupt Frenzied Storm and Blinding Mist.
Healer
Bring Regen, Group Heal, Barrier. If healing is comfortable, Barrier can be swapped for Cleanse. Use Barrier or Cleanse when the boss uses Wanton Flame Breath.
Adjustment based on damage
If one DPS is much stronger than the other, it can be enough to bring only one interrupt and use it only on Blinding Mist, letting Frenzied Storm go through. If both DPS are very strong, you may even skip interrupts entirely.
Secret 13 — Restless Oasis Hill
Tank
Bring Taunt, Shield, Banner. Use Shield on Dragon Fang Bite. Keep Taunt and Banner on auto.
DPS
Bring one interrupt. Interrupt Poison Storm.
Healer
Bring Regen and Cleanse. Full auto is acceptable, or use Cleanse when the boss casts Earth Shudder.
