Good evening.
A few days of playing Honor of Kings came to a frustrating end after yesterday’s matches. I still can’t quite figure out what kind of hero Hainuo is supposed to be. The game labels the character as a mage, but that doesn’t really match how it felt in actual fights. I remembered the ultimate as something that could drag people into an illusion, but from what I saw yesterday, that doesn’t seem right at all. At this point I’m honestly wondering whether I remembered it wrong.
What I do know is that the character felt ridiculous to deal with. When I had them nearly worn down, they could suddenly recover health, and they could also blink away. By the end of the match, their damage had somehow climbed past 40. I was left completely speechless.
On a different note, I wiped all the data from the new domain I bought, shuping.cc, on a whim today. I still don’t really know what I want to do with it. A while back I put an e-book resource theme on it, one I had bought years ago, but the result never felt quite right. Something I used to like has somehow turned into a burden. People always end up chasing the new and getting tired of the old—it’s hard to avoid.
That’s also how I feel about the Robin theme I’m using now. I keep wanting to replace it, but I can’t quite bring myself to let go of the value I attached to it when I first paid for it.
The blog has been feeling sluggish lately. Maybe it’s because WordPress is already heavy, and the theme itself is also pretty large. I’m not entirely sure, but I’ve gone as far as removing plugins until only the essential ones were left.
The plugins I’m still using are these:
Autoptimize-sub: Optimizes CSS, JS, images, and more to help the site run faster.
Wenprise Pinyin Slug: Automatically converts Chinese post slugs, category slugs, and image file names in WordPress into pinyin.
All-in-One Search Push Management Plugin: A WordPress plugin for pushing links to multiple search engines including Baidu, Google, Bing, IndexNow, Yandex, Shenma, and Toutiao. It helps webmasters submit site resources more quickly to major search engines such as Baidu, Bing, and 360, which can improve indexing efficiency. It also includes a Baidu indexing query feature.
WP Super Cache: A fast caching plugin for WordPress.
That’s it—just four plugins. It’s not like I’ve installed a ton of them.
I ran a speed test anyway, and the screen was full of red.
Good night.
